Fiat 127 T
This is what happens when a megalomaniac car enthusiast finds an old rusty Fiat.

Previous part

Picture 68.

This is going to be my next gearbox. The box is from early Ritmo/Strada 75 1.5 (this item from -79) - it has similar driveshafts and joints as, for example, FWD Fiats and Lancias that use TC engine (Ritmo/Regata 100S, Delta, Prisma, etc) and Uno Turbo. The newer Ritmos use weaker tripod-type joints as the 128, though I have never had problems with those. Passenger side (on LHD car, of course!) inner joint is located below the alternator and it is secured with the alternator bracket. On tripod-type gearbox, both inner joints are located inside the gearbox.

This gearbox is quite similar with Uno Turbo item (different, 128-style gear linkage) and it can accept the torsen differential. It is five-speed, so it may prove difficult to fit because it is longer than the recent 128 unit. However, I wont convert this to 4-speed very easily because 5th gear is very nice to have...

I have spent a considerable amount of time with the engine... see updates on the engine story. However, the car has been in use.
